The DesignExchange – Methods for Ideation

blog post image

The Berkeley Institute of Design presents the fourth in a series of events to investigate Human-Centered Design Methods as a part of the DesignExchange project. To inform the development of a taxonomy of methods, the workshops will explore questions such as “What methods are good, when? How are different methods similar or different?

Join us to meet new people, learn about new methods, and discuss some old favorites. This discussion will focus on ideation methods – those methods we use to come up with new concepts, features, products or services.

Event Schedule

6:30 pm – Open doors/food & drinks
7:00 pm – Workshop activities (short presentation followed by a group activity and discussion)
8:30 pm – Networking

The DesignExchange aims to support the design research and human-centered design community in developing, choosing and applying methods by developing an online platform where academics and industry professionals can come together to discuss, learn about, and contribute to human-centered design practice. It is a joint project between the Berkeley Institute of Design at UC Berkeley and the Design Lab at MIT. New site release soon!
